Rocklin Systems Warranty Policy
The Rocklin Systems warranty is one of the most comprehensive in the industry. Our warranty covers all our computer
systems against defects in materials and/or workmanship for the duration of term of the warranty. Warranty service for
all peripherals (monitors, speakers, external equipment) is provided by the manufacturer of the component. All claims for
warranty service must be made during the term of the warranty.
Warranty Term
Rocklin Systems warranty and return policy begins on the day the computer is shipped to the client. Once the warranty
expires many parts may still have manufacturer warranties in which the client is responsible for dealing with the
manufacturer directly.
Labor Warranty
Rocklin Systems custom computers include a 1 or 3 year Labor warranty. This includes all repairs that qualify for warranty
work and upgrades purchased through Rocklin Systems. See the “Limitation of Liability” section below for
exceptions to this coverage.
Parts Warranty
All Rocklin Systems computers include a 1 year warranty. If a component fails or is found to be defective and is reported
during this term, Rocklin Systems will repair or replace the defective part with new or reconditioned parts at our
discretion. The client can purchase a 3 year warranty for your Rocklin Systems computer at time of purchase.
Shipping Warranty
Shipping cost within the first 30 days of warranty will be covered both directions by Rocklin Systems when determined
its necessary the system needs to be returned for repairs. After 30 days the client is responsible for shipping to
Rocklin Systems and Rocklin Systems will return the computer via UPS Ground. Any computers or parts shipped to Rocklin Systems
must be packed properly. Original packaging with the RAM number clearly written on the outside is required. Rocklin Systems
is not responsible for damages caused during return shipments. If the client ships a computer back without original
packaging materials, they will be charged for replacement packaging in order to ensure the safety of the hardware.
Replacement Parts
If Rocklin Systems determines that a part is defective and the client is capable of replacing the part, Rocklin Systems
will ship the part for client replacement. The client will be responsible for shipping the defective part back to Rocklin Systems
within 15 days or else the client will be charged for the value of the part. Rocklin Systems is not liable for any damages
caused by improper installation of the new part. If the client does not have required knowledge to install the replacement part,
the client should not attempt to replace it.
Return for Repair
Standard return time for all desktop and server systems is 3-4 business days after delivery is received. If any parts
required for replacement are not in stock, additional time will be added to complete the repair. All laptop repairs that
require repair or replacement of the motherboard, chassis, or LCD will have a minimum turnaround time of 9 business days
after delivery is received.
If Rocklin Systems determines that it is necessary to have a system shipped back for repair within the first 30 days,
return shipping will be covered by warranty. In order for Rocklin Systems to cover the cost of shipping the client may
choose one of the options below:
- Rocklin Systems will issue an electronic return label via e-mail to the client. The client will print out this label
and bring the computer packed and ready to ship to a local UPS counter for shipment.
- Rocklin Systems will issue a UPS pickup request, which UPS will arrive with to the client’s office/house. The
computer must be ready to ship. Rocklin Systems has no control over what time UPS will arrive.
The client may elect to pay for a faster shipping method. All systems sent in for repair must include all cables, disks
and other parts purchased with the system.
Refunds / Returns — 30 Day Guarantee
We have a 30 day money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the system for ANY reason, we will give you a full
refund on your system hardware. All returns must be undamaged and in as-new condition, in original packaging. Opened or
activated software is not eligible for return. After the 30 day term, the system can only be returned at Rocklin Systems’
discretion, at the current value of the hardware minus a 15% restocking fee. Shipping costs are not refundable, and you are
responsible for shipping costs to return a system. Special order items (parts not listed on our website, but are added by
request to a quote) and peripherals (monitors, keyboards, mice, speakers, etc) are not eligible for return. Quantity orders
and orders of $8,000 or more are not eligible for return. Due to the high amount of labor involved, liquid cooled computers
are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
